One year ago we were surfing in Santa Barbara, eating our weight in persimmons and citrus fruit from the trees in our yard, and taking long, daily walks with the dogs under the shade of tall palm trees. It was as wonderful as it sounds, but we kind of missed out on Fall. Mild sunny days and chilly evenings, apples and cinnamon, chai lattes sipped while admiring bright orange and red foliage, and of course, pumpkin in everything.
